Cody’s early training in jazz, fusion, and blues guitar has left him with a keen sense of melody, harmony, and phrasing. His use of the pick and two-handed tapping technique gives him unique tone and facility, but above all, his unabashed love for music shines through in every note he plays. At the dawn of his teens, when Cody Wright first got his hands on an electric guitar, he initially turned to hard rock and metal for inspiration, travelling down the crossroads of the blues before moving on to fusion, jazz, and acoustic music. Technical excellence was always an aspiration of Wright’s, along with melodies found early on in video games and television shows. “I was always the kid that would wonder what the music would sound like for certain video games before I even played them. Weird, I know!” Cody says.

Cody Wright will release his debut album, “A BASS ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE” in 2017. He will perform on the Main Stage at LBGS on Sunday 5th March, and will also hold lessons in the brand new Bass Workshop with Scott’s Bass Lessons.
